Ask for personal swaps and you will receive! Grin Thank you for everyone who responded. I have enough personal swap partners and swap partners to get this puzzle done!

So glad I read this thread again before heading to the post office. I havne't put MY name on the back of the puzzle pieces yet! I do have them numbered and arrowed. I also numbered the "board" that they go onto and will use that for replacement should a piece go missing. I do love the idea of just going with the blanks though. I may do that with "my" pieces come to think of it!

-sigh-

This is what I get for buying such a big puzzle.

Number of pieces:   100
- Edge pieces          36
Inside pieces           64
- Pieces mailed        19
Pieces left to do      45

I can't even think about the discouragement I would have felt if I had gone with the 369 piece puzzle instead of the 100.

I think I'm using the edge pieces like a frame and just spray painting them black/gold.

I think using the edge pieces as a frame will look good!  All of my pieces hit the Post Office today.

But just think how cool it will look when finished. And I love the frame idea. You can still add embellishments or writing to the frame pieces.

Also, I emailed two arty friends and asked them to alter pieces for this puzzle. They each contributed to the sewing puzzle on first page. One said yes; the other is snowed in and I'm afraid she's lost her power.

And you can ask for private swaps with people from this swap or other swaps you've been in....

Decided to start prep work last night and opened the new puzzle I purchased.  All the pieces looked slightly bowed, or warped.  I attempted to put them together and I put my cutting mat on top and stacked a bunch of books on them.. maybe by tonight they will look flat.  If not, I'll go to plan "b"..

I already received AmandaBL's pieces - I am so anxious to start but I have about 10 other things to do tonight.
Maybe I'll just gesso them and them think about what comes next...

I am happy to report that I have also sent out all of my pieces (some yesterday and the rest, today, despite having a snow day and some icy stuff) But, I guess mailing would be the easy part Wink I have had sooo many ideas randomly pop into my head.. mostly zombie and witchy ideas lol. To top it off... I think everything I see, I'm asking myself "Hrrrmmm, can I use this?" lol. Even in the candy aisle at the store today. LOL -don't worry... I didn't
