So I'm just learning to crochet and I have no idea what the abbreviations mean. I've asked my mom to help me better understand, but she is so busy with work, I think the only thing I can do is buy a crocheting for dummys book xD Sitting down playing with some yarn these two were borns.

Monsieur Oui Oui [[My boyfriend named him]]

His hat comes off!

His chicken duck pet. I mean I know it looks like a chick, but I kind of like thinking of it as a duck.

Thanks for looking, and i know I'm an amateur, but I think I'm getting better!

Your past is just a story. And once you realize this it has no power over you.

When I started crocheting, I couldn't make consistent rows, and it took a couple years to figure out how to crochet in the round so Awesome work! I think he looks dashing. I dig the mustache and his very cute pet.

I think you have done a wonderful job with this. As far as abbreviations go if you do a search you are sure to find the answer. It's pretty simple to get the hang of. Anyway here are some links to get you started:

How cute!  He has a very french feel to me!  And you did a great job for just playing around with the yarn!

I love youtube for instruction on specific stiches!

He reminds me of a purple Poirot, a tiny purple crochet detective...and his egg friend Cheesy I love it!

Athena: Today I was beat in a weaving contest by a mortal, so I threw a little bit of a hissy fit at her, so she hung herself...long story short she's a spider and everyone thinks I'm a bitch. FML
