FINALLY FINISHED! It feels like I've been working off and on (mostly off) upon this piece forever!










(mussed up for 'authenticity' with 'grease stains', elbow patch, and 'repairs' as well as some 'wear' applied with sandpaper)

Actually, it's this narrow bronze-colored cording, which I have to braid three lengths together whenever I use it. But it's pretty awesomely steampunky. I got a giant spool of it off from ebay (like 500 yards or something ridiculous) for about $12, so I figured it's worth the crazy amount of time to braid into a thicker cord.

This looks beautiful! and so very cool. I love all the hand stitches and details you put into the garment.

I want to try out putting grommets etc into canvas/denim. But it has always been my experience they always come out weird. you did a fantastic job!

It's actually not duck. It's hard to see even in the close-up, but these fabrics were twills, heavyweight and suitable for suitings and coats. Hope that helps.
