I do love dyeing roving though!  The past couple times, the colors have turned out just as I'd imagined in my head, and it's so much fun to dye with my 4 year-old.  (We use Wilton's.)
Oh yeah, I need to remember to include my kids when I start dying all this fleece. I still need to call the "zoo" and ask what they are going to do with the llama hair when they shear it. IF they shear it.

I don't like... combing wool with lanolin in it! It is so hard to get it all out! And really hard when are impatient like me and refuse to do just a little in each lingerie bag! AH! And I'm getting 3 more next month... I think at least one will have to be spun in the grease!

You are a rock star with your combs, Jexx.  I don't have nearly the patience for combing that you do!  I'm not sure I'll ever buy another raw fleece again!

I hate predrafting too.. rarely if ever do it.  Unless the roving is somewhat felted then I'll do it, but otherwise? forget it.  spin and draft is the way I go.

And carding.  I wish wish wish I had a drum carder.  it just seems to take waaaaaaaay to long to do a bunch of fiber.  I bet a drum carder would make it go quicker.
