A couple weeks I got a facebook message about my nephews 2nd birthday party, and decided I wanted to make a quiet book for my nephew. But here's the catch, my nephew is OBSESSED with sports/balls, like the kid will stare at the sports section of the news paper. Whenever i tell this to people, they always question whether a two year old can really grasp the concept of sports, but I'm telling you, my nephew can, and is obsessed. And not wanting him to throw my quiet book aside instantly, I knew I had to make it ball/sports related. Well I went out and bought 2 yards of muslin, some bits and pieces of fabric, TONS of felt, button, embroidery floss, one zipper, two buttons, interfacing, snaps, and eyelets. I used shoelaces too, but husband and I received two sets of shoelaces in our stockings this year for christmas, so I was set. So after about a week and a half or working on it, here it is!

Great job coming up with so many sport related activities. Lacing up the football is brillent.
I loved quite books when I was little. I am sure your nephew will love this one. It is so customized to his tastes how could he not?

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Thanks! He really liked it, and his mom liked it more! Sports activities that do not require actual balls, what could be better for drs offices and church?
