I made this for the Three Tiny Movie Things swap, and since my partner received I can finally post pics!

One of my partner's favorite movies is The Princess Bride, and I have a serious obsession with silhouettes. The logical conclusion was that I would embroider a silhouette of the iconic Westley & Buttercup lovers pose. I used one thread from the neck up to get better detail, then switched to two threads for everything else. The fabric I used is one I'm obsessed with right now. It's an awesome blue and white damask with sparkly silver outlining.

All in all I'm pretty happy with it. I wanted to do some silk ribbon embroidered roses around the silhouette, but just didn't have the room I needed to pull it off (it's a 4" hoop).

Now I kind of want one for myself  Cheesy

Wow nice work! At first I thought it was an appliqué, silly me should have known better since it was in a hoop! I love that background fabric too, infact I think I have a bag lined with it in green!
