Inspired by a purse I had seen (and wisted!) on etsy. Can be seen here

I've never made a bag before and I figured this wouldn't be too difficult to figure out. It wasn't, but mine also doesn't look as awesome. I'm happy with the result though. Smiley

The lining is a twin bedsheet I used to have. I feel like I use it in every project and I STILL have some left.

It comes complete with Eric Carle's very hungry caterpillar and some stacking cups!

Thanks for looking! Smiley

It looks great! I am always envious of people who know how to recreate bags that they see!  My brain doesn't work like that yet!!

I think it looks awesome also!  Great fabric combos.  Isn't it amazing how far an old bedsheet will go? lol Cheesy  I like the pull-together style of the straps!

I am too. I don't think I would be as successful if it weren't a simple style. Then again, I also can't figure out how to use a pattern to save my life.

Right?! I'm definitely going to be scouring GoodWill for bedsheets now!

You did a great job especially for a first bag.  So don't beat up on yourself.  I liked that pattern on etsy too.

Thanks! I'm thinking if I double the size, I'd have a nice beach tote.
