I love love love loved gopoundsand's version of this coat (see thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205894.0 and http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=235550.0 )!  I was so inspired that I went out and bought a bunch of fabric.... and then promptly forgot about it.

I moved all the fabric around from Portland, OR to Harrisburg, PA to New York City... and finally finished the jacket over the holidays after about a year and a half!  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  I added a hood (like gopoundsand) and pockets, which was a little tricky.  I also added 6 buttons instead of the suggested 4.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures.  My camera is broken and my cell phone's camera isn't the best.  Q & C welcome!  Thanks for looking.

I just looked at the pattern itself...I don't think I would buy the pattern based on the pictures they have on the front.  I would, however, TOTALLY buy the pattern because of your version (and gopoundsand's)!!  Great job!

You did an amazing job on that coat.  I like the extra buttons and the contrast between the dark lining and the red exterior.

Like amazing_784  said, if I saw that pattern I would of turned my nose in the air and walked away lol..... no, kidding.  But, I think the hood totally adds what the pattern was missing.  Choice of fabric, and extra buttons top it off.  Great construction.  I am bookmarking the pattern for future reference.... Was the sizing accurate, and instructions usable?  Wink

I am currently in the hospital, i apologize to those who's swap items will be late, but I am not flaking!  I WiLL still send!
