Hope you like it!

I've been playing around with knitted headbands lately, and haven't been satisfied with the patterns I've been finding..so I pulled out a stitch dictionary and came up with this headband.

Sorry for the cheesy pics - it's hard to take pictures of your own head!

I wrote up a quick pattern if anyone is interested. It look a little less than half a skein of wool-ease, so maybe about 75-80 yards? It's a great project to use up leftover skeins from other projects!

I put the pattern on my blog and on ravelry-

or

Since it's my first pattern, please let me know if there are any mistakes or things that don't make sense... Cheesy

Happy Knitting!

I tried out this pattern and I have to say it's great! Cheesy

This was my first time cabling but the instructions were clear and I quickly memorized the cable pattern. It knitted up beautifully and was very easy to make!

I used 4.5mm needles (I didn't have any 5mm on hand) so the cables came out a bit short for my liking. If I knit this again I might add a row to each cable. I also did 11 repeats of the cable pattern instead of 7, to fit my head and the smaller needles.

For symmetry's sake I ended on a lefty cable (row 3-5 of the cable pattern) instead of a righty. Also, instead of crocheting a buttonhole on the end I modified row 19 of the decrease section into a built-in buttonhole: P1, K3tog, YO, K2tog, P1. These changes are for personal preference of course, and don't reflect on the quality of this fabulous pattern <3

**Interesting to note: my lefty cables seem to be your righty cables! Perhaps this is because I am a left-handed knitter so everything is reversed?  Wink

Thanks so much for the pattern! :3
