Burlesque accessories!

Hello My friends and I make merch for the burlesque troupe we belong to - we make pasties and facinators/headbands, as well as other things. We usually have a couple "pastie nights" leading up to the shows where we get together and craft for hours while killing off copious amounts of brain cells from the glue fumes. Its a lot of fun, and makes some fun money for the troupe

I thought i'd share a some of the pieces i've made. we rarely get pictures since we're usually too tired by the time we're done, but for the last show i made a point of getting pictures of at least some of the stuff

I have more on my website, but those are some of my favorites. we also make much more elaborate pasties and headresses for our acts, which i'll post a few of when i dig out the costumes wotcha think?

thanks!! they're a lot of fun to make (and even more fun to shop for, i love digging through costume jewelry at vintage shops).

I especially like the first two headpieces and the last one. I LOVE the skull! I wish I could have one like that, but in pink!

Your headbands are gorgeous!  I think I might need to make something similar.  I love your costumes too.  Did your troupe make those as well?

thank you some of the costumes bits i made, but a lot of it i either had made or ordered online. in my costume, i made the bra (recycled from my Amber Sweet costume) and the skirt/bustle thing, as well as the headdress and i highly modified the wig (sewed in lots of hair). the corset i had made (we each had one made in a different colour) and we each bought vertically stripped tights to match the corsets (i friggin LOVE these tights!!)


On the boyfriend: I had his pants made (same awesome lady that made his Goblin King costume), got the tailcoat on ebay, and the rest i picked up at vintage clothing sales (except the fingerless gloves and cummerbund, which are both new). he made his fire pasties, but unfortunately you can't see them in the photo. i do have a picture of their inaugural burn though

Does that mean you guys did a Repo! The Genetic Opera themed show, because if so, that's pretty sweet.  I went to a shadow cast of it, but couldn't see or hear anything due to the venue layout.

I love these! It kinda inspires me to wear some sassy pasties under my work shirt and feel secretly amazing  Great job!
