Upland Crafters

Call to all crafters:

The City of Upland is currently looking for crafters for the 2011 Upland Lemon Festival.  The Dates for the festival this year are Friday April 29th, Saturday April 30th, and Sunday May 1st. 

The outdoor festival includes live music, food, childrens area, business expo, western section and the Upland Lemon Idol contest. 

All interest vendors please contact Jennifer Alfaro at (909) 931-4305 or email inquiries jalfaro@ci.upland.ca.us

The price for a 10 X 10 spaces $300.00 for all three days  and includes canopy, lighting, electricity, and overnight security.

I would love to hear from any craftsters that do this show. I will try and check it out on sunday, but my weekend is already booked. I would like to hear how they feel their sales are

I went to this and while I had a good time, I definitely feel it was heavy on the "business expo" portion.  Some of the 'handmade' things were clearly imports.  The only things that I saw that were most likely to be handmade was a booth selling childrens bows and a soap/candle shop.  I did find a brick and mortar bead shop that was amazing!  There was a large crowd, but none that I think were especially interested in arts and crafts.  Those are just my two cents though.

That's a shame! I didn't get a chance to go, but I definitely have seen some pretty cool craft-centered fairs in Upland. Too bad this one wasn't one of those.
