Hi, I want to show you my kitchen table!  It started out as a plain pine table.  After years of HEAVY usage by my family of four, the top was a disaster!  I knew I wanted to paint it, but it wasn't until I bought a pretty pitcher (on the table in the photo) that I had my inspiration.  First I sanded the table with an electric sander, then I painted the whole thing blue, using acrylic crafter's paint.  I marked off the boarder with a ruler and tape, and painted the stripes. For the flowers, I made a cardboard stencil, and I painted the stems freehand.  After it was dry, I opened all the windows (because the table was too big and heavy to move outside by myself!) and sprayed it with a clear acrylic sealer.  I love how it came out!  And yes, I covered the chair seats with the matching blue fabric, and used the same fabric for a valance over the window.  Then I had to paint the walls green to pull it all together!
