Hi everyone. The bags that have all ready been made & posted are great. I hope I can live up to everyone's unique designs & sewing ability. I am almost done, One thing is made all by hand & it took longer than I thought, but just about done. I'm a detailed person, most the time, just 1 more thing & it'll look even better & so on. It's not perfect by no means especially after seeing everyone's elses. They look so great. Great job green r my tears. Pretty colors too. Also Nilmerg the coiled purse was great that must of taken a long time, very nice.

It's not a big deal. I'm airing everything out, so hopefully that will take care of it.  I can't pin down the smell, but it smells like hair chemicals? possibly... I'm not sure, like I said, I can't pin it down.  The purse itself I was able to wash up fine, I'm just afraid to wash everything else because of the details on them.

I'm sure it will be fine.

That sure looks like some pretty fabric!
I think the whole package is cute.
Techno, maybe it was just the sizing in the fabric? Sometimes that stuff has slight odors.
Purple Paisley, the items you don't want to put the washer can be gently soaked in a soapy vinegar solution, for a couple hours. Then just rinse, and blot in a towel. Let them air. (As long as things aren't put on with glue)
If things are glued, the just spray with vinegar/water, so you don't have to rinse them. Just let dry. Outside is best, if possible.
Vinegar will freshen things up, even nasty odors from pets.
NOTE* I am NOT Suggesting that these were Pet issues!
BUT, if there is ever such a problem... Vinegar is the cure!

Good News... I actually have 3 days off in a row! I thought I would last week, but it didn't happen. So, tomorrow, Wednesday, could just be the day I finish!

What great colors!  And lots of accessories!

Now I am worried because I often spray my bags with scotchguard...it does have a very chemical smell...I never thought to ask my partners because it seemed the smell went away...

thanks KLKing on the tips--vinegar is a lifesaver for so much!

PurplePaisley--I received fabrics from you before with no issue, but I also have pets...but I know a lot of people are very sensitive to fabreze or other fabric freshners...I am sure it will be alright in a few days!  I have run stuff through my dryer with a fabric sheet to freshen nonwashable things...like curtains! Cheesy

Thank you for the tip!  After a night outside everything is fresh as a daisy.  It turns out it was the box that something must have spilled on.

That's what you get when you ship from Washington State to Washington DC.  A long time in a truck where anything can happen!

I swear stuff in DC gets fumigated...Cheesy...but yeah, a couple of weeks in a truck can be hazardous to our packages! Sad

my gosh, when you said hair chemcal's I figured it out. Thank you so much for pinpointing down the smell. I did ship in a box that I got from work that hairspray was shipped to my salon in. I will be so much more careful in the future.
