The coiled bag is great!

I think all the bags so far have been awesome!  It is fun to see the different styles created.  I like that we will all end up with very unique bags/purses.

Looking forward to more pics. Smiley

I'm so glad that you liked your bag and accessories Spectrum sparksie. I forgot to mention that I picked up the coin purse in a charity shop for 50c! I thought it was great, and it took me a while to work out how to get into it too!

I really enjoyed making the bag and I'm glad that you like it so much that you can over look it's imperfections! This was my first attempt at coiled anything! My advice to anyone else who wants to try this technique- start with a small bowl and work up to a large bag and NOT the other way round! The other issue is that since the bag uses such narrow strips of fabric, I now find my self saving all sorts of scraps of fabric that would once have been deamed trash!

The fabric shopping bag was a fabric pannel that I had seen a few times in spotlight and it eventually got moved over to the bargain corner, so I couldn't resist grabbing it for future referance and since it matched your colours perfectly, I made it for you! The monster was a fun and easy felt project - hope you manage to reclaim it!

The needle book / sewing kit was a last minute item that I made to hold the geisha scissors etc and it just evolved as I made it. The most ammusing thing about the binding on this is that my youngest daughter picked it (she's 1). A few weeks ago, we were in the little fabric shop in town here and she wondered off an came back with this thread all unraveled from it's skien so I had to buy it. And fate made it the perfect colour for this project and it's metalic for extra zing!

Here are a couple of detail shots of the extras:
Back of monster pencil case. Geisha scissors etc.

Thanks for the positive coments guys.

Greetings everyone.  As my partner has not posted pics of her and her new tote yet.  I thought I will post the pics of what I took.  I knocked off a tote from her wist account but put my own twist on the tote. Here is the link to my inspiration http://store.kaufmann-mercantile.com/products/duluth-pack-canvas-tote-bag

This is the tote with the business card holder and travel jewelry pouch (earrings were not included with the swap)!!

These are the 3 plus purchased items!! Cheesy

Really great work, Nilmerg! The stories behind everything make it more special. I can totally relate to how your 1 YO "Picked" the thread!  Wink That is so funny!
I've never made anything of coiled fabric, so it's a really cool effect on a purse. Would have never thought of it!  Cheesy
I'm also looking forward to more photos posting in soon!  Grin
Oh, I just saw the bag from green r my tear$! That also is a beautiful package!
Sorry your partner is having trouble posting. But, it's nice to see the loot!

What lovely colors in that bag green r my tear$!  The little jewelry pouch is something I never thought about for a purse, but I can see how useful it would be as I tend to take off my earrings at the end of the day and throw them in my bag!  Thoughtful and useful item!

I also find it funny what people include as extras for a purse...I carry those little floss picks and am glad that at least someone else thinks that is a good thing to have ! Cheesy

I love the stories of how things come about as well...it is so precious that children are included in our everyday crafting lives...
