This whole project will be a bit of a 'blast from the past' for any 20/30 something Brits out there. These crisps used to be loved by children nationwide because you could get them for 10p!!... now, being that this is 'the present' and everything that is 'now' is EVIL, they are 20p (*shakes fist at God*)... anyhow:

predictably, theres more over at my Blog

This bag was made using recycled materials, obviously a multipack bag of crisps, the front is 4 layers of carrier bag plastic (I staggered them slightly, using 3 carrier bags in total for each side to make it slightly bigger), the handles are 6 layers thick (3 carrier bags)... the sides are binbags and I'm slightly concerned that they won't be hardwearing enough... only time will tell.

what'cha think??

Wow! That is one cool bag; I also thought they didn't make these anymore!
I remember sneaking out of school(hole in the fence) at breaks and dinner to go to the corner shop to buy space raiders, freddos etc. Did you know a freddo is 20p now? It's terrible! Wink

oh Freddo's!!!! do you know what else... WHAM bars!!! I've got a box of them! the problem with WHAM bars is that thair wrappers are very small... I'm desperate to make a WHAM bar bag..... I used to love sherbert fountains... and chocolate cigarettes :-) but they certainly DON'T make those anymore :-)

Annoyingly I've now got to the point where I've got LOTS of wrappers (crisps, walkers, nik nacks etc) but no disposable carrier bags! I'm tempted to actually go stael them out of the TESCO bag recycling bin... that's bad. right?

They do make sherbet foutains but they are in a plastic tube not cardboard anymore. I haven't seen chocolate cigs for ages though.

Taking them out of the recycling bin isn't bad, after all you are re using them!  Grin
