So my best friend StephanieGravatt loves polka dots. So, I had an idea about six months ago that I would make her a polka dot quilt. So I've been stashing polka dot fabric for a while. Well, a few weeks ago, she told me that some Christmas plans with some of her family got cancelled, and she was bummed about it. So, I had the wonderful idea to try and crank out a quilt for her in time for Christmas. And I got it done in time! Woo hoo! The quilt measures about 5'x5', and has a dark red fabric for the backing. I used 4.5" blocks, so that after the seam allowance, they would be an even 4". I originally intended for it to be rectangular, but I'm terrible at math, so it came out square. But she loves it just the same. So, here's a picture that she took of it. (I forgot to take a picture before I wrapped it).

3,4 better lock your door.
5,6 grab your crucifix.
7,8 gonna stay up late.
9,10 never sleep again.

This is cute. I'm kinda in love with lap quilts. If I had more room I'd make more of them.
