I just wanted to share with my fellow crocheters a charity that I make hats for.  Warmth for Warriors, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, was formed to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families.  You might not realize it, but it's cold in the mountains of Afghanistan!  Just crochet (or knit) hats and mail them to the lovely ladies who run this organization.  They take care of getting them to the troops who need the warmth and the reminder that we remember them here in the states.
Please visit them at http://warmthforwarriors.com/

That is really nice. I like the camo yarn especially! I have so much extra yarn leftover from xmas projects. I have been trying to figure out what to make for charity and I will definitely be putting some aside for this cause.

Thanks for sharing this website with us. I am going to look and see if I can start now, but I do want to do this and hope to have some hats made soon.
I love the brick stitch in camo colors the best. Great job, and great reason to crochet.

Really great idea, thank you for sharing.

Do you know if they only accept WOOL hats?  I have alot of yarn but not sure if any of it is wool or not.

Their website says wool, but they accept in any fiber.  Mine are all in acrylic.
Thanks for all the support!
