Not sure if you guys have seen these but I love these stools.  Inspired by these I set out to make my own version.  Using thrifted (and ugly) stools, a thrifted sweater, old throw pillows, fabric cut from an old tablecloth and a staple gun I had great new ottomans.  I wanted a more instant gratification project so I decided against crocheting my own cover and used an old sweater instead.  I had to buy a staple gun for this project and now want to use it for more things.  It's definitely my new favorite tool.

Love them!  I like yours much more than the ones you were inspired by.  In fact I thought the finished ones WERE the ones  you were inspired by b/c I didn't notice the link.  Then I scrolled down and thought - wow she really got those!  And then the old brain turned on.  Trying to say yours are way cool!

I love these! Great Job! I wear sweaters to work in the winter but they only ever last 3 or 4 months before they're stretched out or shrunk up or just not wearable anymore. I always hate throwing them away. This is  a great alternative! I might have to seek out some stools on my next round of thrift store shopping!

Love this idea!  I've thought about knitting seat/cushion covers b/c I love the look but haven't gotten around to it.  I love the idea of buying a thrifted sweater, much quicker!!

Oh, cool! I buy second-hand sweaters to unravel for the yarn, but I haven't tried re-using them like this.
