Add a little smile to your step...shoes with a face!

I'd been eyeing these shoes from Topshop:

but figured I could just make them myself (and then they stopped selling them, so I actually got around to doing that!)

I started with cheap gray shows with a small wedge heel:

And then I added the face and string of pearls:



In action:


I made the eyes from felt, the lips from red vinyl and I strung the craft pearls on stretchy plastic string and looped through a tab I also made from the vinyl. They seem to be holding up well for now. Let me know what you think!

These are super cute! I think using wedges was a great idea, makes it look more feminine! Looks exactly like the ones from topshop!

Thanks!! I actually got those heels at Kmart, believe it or not! I was looking everywhere for small wedge heels (I'm also a sucker for them) and I couldn't find a cheap pair anywhere but Kmart, where these were about $10. The brand is Jaclyn Smith.
