I'm looking for a good needlework stitch dictionary.  I don't want patterns or random extra stuff, I just want a book that explains different types of stitches.  It would be nice if it had a visual index.  This website is the sort of thing I mean (but I want it in book form): http://www.embroidery.rocksea.org/reference/picture-dictionary/

Does anyone have any recommendations?  Thanks!

I think I have the first one, 'Stitch, Step by Step', but in Dutch. I like it, a lot!

I believe there is a reader's digest stitch dictionary that has been around for over 40 years. I used to have it. You can usually find it at thrift stores.

I have Mary Thomas's Dictionary of Embroidery Stitches and I really like it - clear photos of all the stitches and diagrams of how to do some of the trickier ones, and they're all organized by category (for instance, one chapter for outline stitches, another for fill stitches, etc).
