first here's the actual embroidery on the hoop:

yeh, the shiny fabric isn't very forgiving, you can see the tension's all wrong, meh.
and here's the final product:



here's a couple of notes on the embroidery for you threadheads.
The whole thing is backstitch, because at the time that's all I was confident in doing hahah, the whole thing took about 1 1/2 skeins of embroidery floss, I used 3 strands all over. The design was transferred using white carbon paper:


which as you can see worked quite well. I also used a 12" embroidery hoop and an embroidery stand I managed to find in a charity shop for 6!! 6 or the hoop AND the STAND (6=$9.53).

2/18/12 - I no longer have the directions for wrapped pens, I lost them several years ago. To obtain them for yourself, do like I did, contact DMC threads directly and ask for them.
