I'm good with the swappage, my next two swaps go out on June 18th and June 25th, and even if I wait until after those two go out to start, I have a good two weeks before the send date. Also, it'll be like an early birthday present! So a request to whoever my partner is, if there's anyway you can ship to get it there on the seventeenth, do it! My birthday's the 18th and it would make me feel special.

This is SO exciting, this swap is going to be amazing. You can find out so much about a person through their favorite song(s). My problem was choosing one. I'll probably change my mind before the swap. I picked between almost ten songs. I based my choice on which one would be easiest to craft, even though my gut was telling me to go with a different song. But it's more abstract.

I'm still kind of choosing my song too because sometimes songs are abstract but then I've put a meaning for me to them. That's why I gave a space to comment on the song. You can explain what it means to you and give some guidance to the person crafting for you.

I really want to do this swap, but I just signed up for my first swap, and by the rules, I have to wait until that is sent out and get positive feedback.  There's no way that will happen since the sign ups aren't done yet, so I don't even have a partner yet. Cry

It's too bad, cause I think I sould do some cool stuff for this one.

Yeah, I get that, it's just that if you tell a person exactly how to interpret the song, then why should they bother even listening to it when you've told them how you think about it? Besides, even if I told somebody exactly what a song means for me, if the song doesn't have any direct images, it's hard to make something visual out of it. Plus, if I like many songs equally, then something has to be the basis behind my choice.

but there are too many great songs out there for me to pick just one!

ok, let me ask everyone's opinion before i send it in

the origin of love on the hedwig and the angry inch movie soundtrack
too drunk to fuck -cover by nouvelle vague  (awesome, everybody needs to listen to it.  the little french accent makes it so endearing)
zombie- the cranberries
slow like honey- fiona apple
friday night, saturday morning -the specials
how soon is now? -the smiths (or love spit love. shit- i'd accept the tatu cover)
together -william shatner feat. lemon jelly
america, fuck yeah -team america soundtrack

can i just sign up and give whoever gets me the choice?

This swap idea is awesome... but I'm in like, one billion swaps right now, and I have a similar number of favorite songs.  Wink  But I'm really excited to see the results of this one!
