Details of swap:
Everyone will select their favorite song and will receive ONE item that their partner made basedon/inspired by the song. Everyone will be assigned someone elses song to make ONE item based on/inspired by that song.
My vision for this swap is that you spend one week listening to and reading the lyrics for the song you're being inspired by. You should reflect on why your partner chose this song. Then you will make one item. Suggestions are embroidered bags, charm jewelery, journals, a collaged box, painting - whatever. Please don't just base it on the artist of the song - focus on the lyrics and their message. Keep this in mind when choosing your songs too.
If you do not have the song that you are assigned in your personal musical library I will put a copy of it somewhere on-line so you can listen to it. I will send a copy of the song's lyrics along with your partners information.
REMEMBER: Favorite songs can be really emotional, personal and important. Even if you hate the song you're given you should appreciate the persons choice and honour the song they chose through your object.
Another thing is that depending on if people are interested and how many people are involved I might consider burning mixed CD's with all the songs chosen if people send me blank CD's. I will burn them and ship them back out. This will depend on interest and numbers and is NOT a guaranteed part of the swap.
