This is my fourth quilt. I made this as a gift for my friend Stefanie. Made from one jelly roll and some plain white fabric. The backing is one of the fabrics from the jelly roll. The pattern was modified from one featured in a quilting magazine.

The front:

The back:

The label (for Stefanie Jan. 2011 from Brandy):

This was my first time making and using a quilt label, and I was really excited, before realizing I probably shouldn't have pieced it into the backing but sewn it on after quilting. Ah well, I learn something new with every quilt  Wink

This is really neat.  I love the stripes!  I should try something like this.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Thats really cute!

I read somewhere that it really is better to quilt in the label(in case its ever stolen-its way harder to remove).

This is so pretty! I love the combo of fabrics and pattern, it is very soft looking (as in not harsh or out there) but not boring. Do you have the name of the fabric line?

I love this! You did such a wonderful job that you inspire me to try my hand at one of these. I wonder how it would translate into a mini quilt.
