hey! moved to webster/clear lake area 2 years ago.  does anyone know of any good spots to hit up for craft supplies besides the usual hobby lobby & michaels?  any good thrift stores i may not know about?  also open to suggestions in the city.  thanks Smiley

There's a sewing/fabric store called sew contempo over near nasa: http://www.sewcontempo.com/

there's a huge thrift store area in pasadena all down south sheppard and spencer highway.

there are a couple of lys on the north side of houstion.  there's a lovely fabric store in jersey village right near yumyum cha's which is a great dim sum place.

pearland also has a nice knitting group that meets up at the dennys in pearland every tuesday

Sewcrafty is closing end of feb is what I read. Never got a chance to get up there.... Wish they had been closer in town (I don't have a car).
