First the yummy burger, now desert... oh spillyjane you create tempting soft sculptures.  The lightness lets one know this is a calorie free treat.  Unless it leads one to craving "the real thing"  Wink

Don't you love how you have control with needle felting on when to say "it is finished".  My work tends to be very dense,  but then it is intended for function and daily use (hats, seat cushions, etc) touching and bumping and squishing.  The lightness in this piece and in pearsonchick's moomin are intriguing and give a fairy tale essence.   The cream swirls are particularly lovely- they look so light, yet are not squished off shape by the delectable cherries.  Those stems are fab!  How did you get them to stay to stiff yet so thin?

Thanks for sharing this beautiful  piece.

Hi Jane, In my mind, I do see your work highlighted in a diaorama or tableau; a scene in a shadowbox.  A glorious mixed media art piece.  Each one you have shared  is tiny, lovely, intricate on it's own.  But yes, I can see you developing a major work.   A tree branch with birds.  A coffee bar/ deli with "Barbie" customers and baristas.  Whether you stick with one offs or put them into a large piece, it will always be great seeing your next creation.  Thanks for sharing.

oh wow, thanks!  and thanks so much for your inspirational words!  you've got me thinking now... Smiley

I hate sushi.
But I'm amazed at the artsy things people make that look like it!
