I don't suppose this is so much "reconstructing" as it is "re-purposing" but I feel it's pretty close to the same thing.
Anyways, I needed to make some last minute Christmas gifts for the bf's grandparents (both sides). My mom had bought this giant bag filled with corks (she estimates around 2500) from Goodwill and while I visited this holiday we sorted them and came up with this nifty project.
These are the three that I made:

And I also made this which will either be used as a trivet or as art we hang on the walls:

my mom picked up the wooden candle holder (I guess? it's flat on the inside) and it fit a bunch of corks perfectly!

I had a lot of fun making these
