I bought some teeny tiny glass bottles with cork stoppers on ebay. I couldn't resist them!

I'll basically try and show my thought processes for this project.....

Cute bottles! what to do with them?!

ah! butterfly!

but what's more random than a butterfly in a jar?

A FAIRY! a trapped fairy in a jar! woot!

the pair

the back of the fairy, she's sort of leaning on a toadstool

I made these by making little bits at a time and then poking them into the jar using a skewer in one hand and some very fine tweezers in the other. they are REALLY tiny, but I am so proud of them. the butterfly took me 25mins, the fairy took nearly an hour. the jars themselves are glass so were ok to be baked.

here's a picture to show the scale Wink

I like how people keep looking at them, taking loooong looks and then sort of steping back and asking WTF posessed me to put a fairy in a jar.

Very cute! I know how hard it is to make teeny things for those bottles, you did a great job. Smiley
