here are my goodies from ashley g!

the movies i listed as my favorites were: indiana jones and the temple of doom, star wars: the empire strikes back, how to train your dragon, the royal tenenbaums and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.

toothless! super cute little guy. i am probably going to hang him from my rear view window so he can protect me while i'm driving. Smiley

ashley had no way of knowing, but margot and richie are my favorite characters from the royal tenenbaums. so when i pulled this out of the box, i squealed. i love the painting, and the little frame is amazing. this will get a good spot on my bookshelf.

and last but not least, tiny han solo!

he's ridiculously cute. ashley said it's her first try making a plushie of this type. and i think he looks awesome. my cell phone camera didn't pick up all of his little details, but he even has a little hip belt for his holster, and his bangs are awesome.

i was also told to expect a second package containing extras that she was unable to finish in time for the send-out date. and i know my package got to her yesterday. so i hope she's as happy with what i sent as i am with what she sent.

thanks so much, ashley g!

I got spoiled by karwash. I literally and loudly squealed with joy when I opened my package and saw this severed hand in a box from Un Chien Andalou.

Then, this lovely little collage of scenes from Roman Holiday was there to greet me.

But the best part is the two long sleeved shirts KarWash made me--

with a scene from The Umbrellas of Cherbourg:

and my absolute favorite: a mug shot of Dalton Trumbo (the genius who wrote the screenplay for Roman Holiday--and won an Oscar for it--while he was black listed from Hollywood in the McCarthy Era.)

I am looking to do a personal swap with (or will outright pay for) a knitter who could make an adult sized knitted t-rex sweater for Christmas. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Aww, mini Han Solo is so cute and I love those t-shirts, too. Everyone's getting such cool stuff. Smiley

I received from hippieguts123 on Monday, but couldn't post until today. The movies I put were American Werewolf in Paris, Earth Girls Are Easy, Edward Scissorhands, RENT, and The Fifth Element.

The package upon opening:

The first item is a set of paper dolls based on the main characters from American Werewolf in Paris:

They each have two normal outfits and their werewolf shapes, which are too cute. :3 I forgot to take photos of them actually dressed, so, until I have, I guess they're exhibitionists, haha.

Next is a coin box based on RENT:

The inside is based on a line from the song Seasons of Love. She also sent some pennies to get me started, so now I just have to remember to put my change in there instead of forgetting it all over the place.

And here's the last one:

An Edward Scissorhands necklace! If you can't tell from the photo, the charm on the right is a set of scissor blades like the ones that make up Edward's hands (there's a point in the movie where you can see them hanging up). It's so very me!

Everything's so great. Thank you, hippieguts~!
