I'm doing a wardrobe refashion on my blog called Hand-me-down Horrors and this is my latest remake, an easy peasy switch up from a boring black wrap dress I'd worn maybe once but knew it needed something else.

I took the Crochet trim off a hideous floor length baby doll dress I had in my vintage stash and just stitched (combination of hand and machine stitching) the Crochet trim around the collar, tucking it into the waist seam to give it a more polished finish. The pink dress babydoll dress appears much cuter in this photo but was awful, three tiers of fluff, ribbons, lace all sorts. Still holding on to it until I get some ideas on how to pimp it out though.

Before pic of uninspiring black wrap dress.

I love how it turned out and can't wait to wear it, totally inspired for more of the wardrobe refashion and I now have plenty more ideas keeping me up at night!

Check out my blog for more info: http://rubymurraysmusings.blogspot.com/2011/01/hand-me-down-horror-no-2-french-maid.html

Hope you enjoy.
