Small footstool saved from the demon trash bin!

My brother was about to throw this out.  Of course, I had to try to save it.


Simply recovered it with curtains that my sister was going to throw out (geez, am I the only one in the family who keeps everything?)...added new hinges, and "viola", a useable footstool with storage for my craft supplies catalogs!


Also, for Christmas, I got a new chair for my computer.  There was no longer a need to cover it like I did with my old one with an unused snuggie...but I figured I would make a matching seat cushion since I am always in my room .

A good staple gun is the key--and spray on adhesive really helps hold the foam and batting on so you can get the fabric nice and tight...I am ready now to tackle a larger project around the house...and old rocker!

It appalls me to see what people throw out!  I wish I had a truck...I seriously think I would collect a lot more things and fix them up...
