The perfect subject for sub-zero degree days. Here's a really silly question: What kind of stitches did you use? Is it the running stitch or a back stitch? And do you knot off each strand or weave it in?

it's all back stitch, except for the french knots used for the crabs eyes, seahorses' combs etc.
i knot when doing back stitch. i only ever do the weaving in thing fir cross stitch.
