I made this for my Mother in Law for Christmas as she has admired mine a few times. I was really happy with how it turned out - More photos on my blog.

I just did a quick search and this tute looks ok - http://debrascreativeramblings.blogspot.com/2009/09/making-sewing-kit.html

Where they have the circle that you have to push up into the lid as the last step - On mine I haven't made this go all the way to the edge of the lid as if the lid isn't very deep you can't really screw it back onto the jar as too much space inside the lid has been used so if you make one I would just watch out for that. I made the circle of cardboard slightly smaller so as to leave more room for the lid, I also didn't put fabric on that piece of cardboard just used something that wasn't too bad to look at. I hope this all makes sense:)
