My name is Meleriffic
I am joining the Craft Detective Swap
I have a two month crafting period with send outs on April 29th.

I've been meaning to send my friend a surprise package for awhile now. Hopefully this will motivate me to get on it.

Thanks for your patience!

If you have any late (red) or poopie )brown) comments, you will not be allowed to join another fake swap (not really!)...just let me know you no longer want to do that one! Cheesy

ha ha the fun of the fake swap is that you can change your mind on yourself!! Cheesy

This is such an awesome idea!  (And I am cracking up at some of the feedback. Smiley )  I am in too many real-life swaps at the moment (esp. for crafting with a newborn), but I am definitely bookmarking this thread!

Whoops!  I forgot that I said I was going to do another purse for this swap! I did make one, and posted it awhile back... Here's a couple pics

The purse. Much better size and I love the fabric my partner picked.

New wallet. LOVE! My old wallet was so big it could have been a purse all on it's own! This is compact and lightweight and adorable (imho Cheesy )

Tissue Cozy. My partner got this fabric from a previous swap and I love it.  As a mom, I always need tissues!

My partner also sent me a tin of Altoids - I love the mints and I save the tins to re-purpose! She also sent me a tiny purse-size brush and a business/gift card holder, but I seem to have misplaced those pictures Sad

A couple more pics and a little bit more info can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373147.msg4391625#msg4391625

And, now, I should get back to packing my house. I was going to try to be crafty today, but when I went to grab supplies I realized I had already packed 95% of my craft supplies Cry Very sad.

WOW--fabulous purse and the extras are great!

I will definitely be late sending...but I have good reason!

My partner is way too picky...Wink and found some things to correct on the purse she made...plus, rackycoo, a swap mod, said partial packages were not allowed so I have to scramble to fill the darn thing up... Sad

Remember that the "due date" is the shipping out date...you actually have about two weeks for the "postman" to deliver! Wink Cheesy

Right.. in which case, I've um.. sent the Fill-a-Purse swap. Just waiting to receive! Wink

HippieKender, I am totally in awe of that wallet!  As a mediocre (at best) seamstress, wallets look nearly impossible to me in general, and your is just so cute!

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

You can totally make one! BabyAngel has a great tutorial here: http://babyangelsparadise.blogspot.com/2007/12/so-i-needed-wallet.html
She does a great job of explaining, and the pattern is easily altered to fit your needs.

Thank you very much for updating us! That must have taken a while.  Shocked

Also, I really love that wallet HippieKender. That's exactly the style I need, I will be bookmarking that tutorial.
