grimmscreed
« Reply #200 on: January 27, 2011 12:00:36 PM »

I am still slogging through my gnome (which is good, because my garden gnome is currently buried under all of the snow we've been getting in MA, and may be crushed).  I have, however, discovered that part of my plan is not feasible (I would say more, but I don't want to spoil the surprise for my partner!).  On one hand, this is sad, as it seemed like a really good idea.  On the other hand, it was going to take me forever to get the project done that way, and whatever I end up doing instead is virtually certain to be easier and less time consuming!

MunLtStmpr -- That's always rough.   Embarrassed  But I'm sure your partner will understand if you run a little bit late with your crafting -- after all, I bet she has had to deal with this sort of thing, too.  ::hugs:: to you and to your kitty.

I hear you on the snow grimmscreed! I live in central MA and I just spent an hour and 45 minutes shoveling the steps and digging out the car. It would have been even longer except a neighbor did the sidewalk with a snowblower and another neighbor helped me with the car. The city plows really pack it in...

So, no crafting for me today unless I get all of my work done for school (which I've been procrastinating on). But, if all goes as planned, I could have time this weekend!

And MunLtStmpr, sorry to hear about your cat!

Squee!  I finished the purse for my partner!  I think she's going to LOVE it!  Now I just have to work on the extras.  I have 1 bought, pieces cut out for a 2nd, and planned a 3rd. Not sure about the other 2 items though. Smiley

I received! My partner needs to familiarize herself with the rules of swapping though. The silly brat sent me a partial package yesterday. Thankfully she sent the other half today, otherwise I would have reported her to a mod  Wink

Here's the post for them: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=371341.0

My partner spoiled me! I got 2 bookmarks for my oldest son, and three for me. Here's the three for me:

This first one is double-sided and inspired by the Rapunzel scarves everyone's making:

I love this vintage sewing pattern one:

A bejeweled corner bookmark:

And now for my son's bookmarks. The first is a scorched-edge steampunk one, and then a World of Warcraft one:

Great bookmarks!  I like the vintage sewing pattern one the best, I think.

I really like the many layers in the sewing bookmark and the singed edges of the steampunk one.
