This was my husband's Christmas present from me this year.  It's the last panel from his favorite xkcd strip (http://xkcd.com/378/).  I did the whole thing in backstitch, which I HATE, but it produced a very sketchy line which I thought was appropriate for the subject matter.   Wink

Love it. I have thought about doing an embroidered version of some of the xkcd but haven't got round to it. I did do a t-shirt of http://xkcd.com/386/ for my husband.

Ooooh, I love it. I am too much of a goober to get the first joke, but xkcd really lends itself to embroidery. Too bad I can't embroider. Harvey, that is such a good one. My husband wants you to embroider it for him. It is sad to say, I have lived that strip more than once. Maybe I will have to learn to embroider now. I will add it to the project list. Smiley Great job on the project!

There is a thin, semantic line separating weird and beautiful. And that line is covered in jellyfish. - Welcome to Night Vale

I don't get the first one either, but I do love the idea of xkcd embroidery!

(and Harvey - that's a great strip for a tshirt!)

Thanks everyone!  I think that this particular xkcd is only really funny to programmers (of which I am not one), but I figured there would be some serious geeks here who would appreciate it.   Cheesy

I LOVE xkcd! This is truly awesome. Have to start digging my favorites back up for possible projects. Thanks for the idea!  Wink

Ditto!  I never considered this as a source, but now it seems obvious.

As for the joke, I'm no programmer so I don't get it either, but it looks fantastic!
