so i havent posted stuff i have made (other than in swaps) for a while so here are two things i whipped up two nights ago. i recently became obsessed with those cute little russian doll prints but having no fabric of that sort at my disposal i used some wonder under (first time playing with it) and random fabrics from my stash to make a new purse. i was too lazy to use interfacing too but i wanted a nice drapey bag this time so its cool.i love the result

my own pattern, meant to be sloped up on one side, has a zipper packet  on the outside back and an open pocket on the inside (forgot to take pistures of but ill add them) fully lined and edged with a decorative blanket-like stitch.

now the cupcakes

i picked up a remnant of awesome cupcake fabric for about $2 please random scraps from my stash. i looked at it the other night and said "you are going to be my new wallet!" and then it was

snap closure tap (covered with a decorative button), one side: 2 full length pockets for cash etcs and zipper change pocket, other side: one full length pocket plus 5 card slots and id viewer pocket, with a strap with snap to keep those cards inside. cardboard inserts and interfacing to keep it stiff

ps please excuse lint and cat hair! =]

thanks a bunch for looking!

c&c always welcome!

You did a great job on both the bag and the wallet!
I love your little russian dolls. I like that you designed and assembled them yourself.

Those are both incredibly adorable. I love how many pockets and compartments the wallet has!

So cute!  Love the button on the wallet!  And the strap to keep credit cards from falling out.  What a great idea!  I always worry about losing my cards.

You don't need a permit for a glue gun.
