Ouch, cackle! You are way too important to have to suffer through an injury like that.  Angry

Me, too! I hate cuts. I cook a lot so I use sharp knives, which are actually safer than dull ones unless you let yourself get distracted by say, a sweet little titmouse who lands on your windowsill. Sigh.

Torting a cake? This is obviously an activity that only a terribly important person would participate in! (I have no idea how one cuts themself torting a cake because I don't think I know what that is.)  In any event - I hope you feel better soon - and don't do that again!  Wink

I'll try not to!  I have to say I didn't feel very important when I did it, but I did manage an appropriate swoon. I was fussed over, bandaged, given a cup of tea, lead to a comfy chair and had my feet put up. THAT can go to ones head! Grin
FYI Torting is slicing through a cake layer to make it two layers (or however many you can get out of it).

Oh well what do you know - I've "torted" a cake many times and never knew how terribly important I was actually being!  I think I called it something like "cutting two layers into four", but from now on.....  Smiley

I am so terribly important that my partner is sending quite early! I, however, have had to fire my last twelve assistants and, instead, bought those charming monkeys who wrote all of Shakespeare's plays. They have acquired a number of crafty materials and are hard at work on her important swap items. They are actually quite efficient, for hired primates, and I was very careful in choosing them. My neighbor had a gorilla butler several years back and that didn't end well. Not well at all...

Ouch, Cackle! That sounds like quite the injury. I'm glad that people realized the severity of such a thing happening to someone as important as yourself and bandaged and pampered you appropriately. I also did not know what 'torting' was before now. Wink

I've finished one item for my esteemed partner so far.
