yea.. didn't know what to call this, but that name seems to fit. I just thought of this idea today, so I had to put it to work.

I found this fabric at wal-mart for a dollar a yard a bit ago, so I got 2 yards... yes, it is the strechy swim suit fabric, and yes, it does suck when you sew it. I had to go along the seams twice so the stiches would actually work.

I'm trying my best at a tutorial for this... normally when I have an idea, I just go for it.. and dont' really make notes, let alone pictures.... but I did try, so bear with me. Smiley

Start out with cutting the shapes for the bikini top.. i just kinda looked at an old one I had and went with it.

There are four of them.. its easier to have a seam inside out... than to the back.. if that makes sense.. because this fabric is very crappy and doesnt like to have nice seams.

After those pieces, I made a long piece that goes under those, and ties in the back. (sorry, forgot a picture of this.)

Here's the finished product:

Then, you can go onto the bottoms... sadly, these were the hardest part, and I didn't take any pictures at all. For these I just cut apart an old pair of shorts I had, then used them as a pattern. (yes I cheated.. im sorry  Undecided

Finished:

Here's the whole suit.. sorry if the picture isn't too great.

Hope I helped you a bit, if you feel like making your own bathing suit for the summer. Cheesy
