Bath and Beauty Featured MemberThe latest featured member for the Bath and Beauty Board is....
mcook72677! Mandy is a fabulous soapmaker (I know, I have some of her soap in my bathroom right now!) She has been a member of Craftster since August 2007 and posts her fabulous projects all over Craftster. She also won the Eco-Friendly/All Natural B&B Challenge!
Q: Why (and when) did you begin making Bath and Body items?
A: My ex-bf's mom made these melt and pour soaps for some Dr. Laura charity thingy and I was like "it would be super cool to make soap from scratch." So we both started making REAL soap and haven't stopped since. That was about 10 years ago and I still love it.
Q: What is your B&B philosophy (as far as all-natural, animal products, etc)?
A: Being free from plastic packaging is one of my main goals. Plastic sucks!!
Q: Besides soap, what other B&B items do you make?
A: Occasionally I make bath fizzies, creams, solid lotions, and lip balms.
Q: How did your first soap making project (or lotion, bath bomb, etc) go for you?
A: MASHED POTATOES!! That is what my first soap making experience was like. I was so disappointed that I tossed it. Now I know that it probably could have been saved somehow.
Q: What is your favorite B&B project on Craftster that you posted?
A: My white trash beer soap because it won me a t-shirt. The beer soaps that I make now are less white trash because I moved up from Keystone to Bell's.

A few new Sweets
Q: What is your favorite non-B&B project on Craftster that you have posted?
A: The snake is my favorite non-B&B project of mine because it was made for my daughter and she loved it so very much.
