Sock cthulhu rocks my world.  Are you going to make other sock monsters?

wow... the things that happen when i decide to spend the whole night crocheting instead of going online! Cheesy

i'm on the front page under 'hot new projects'! i'm not totlly sure how those projects are chosen, but thank you very much to all who made that possible! Cheesy

thank you to all who have commented. you're totally awesome. Smiley

I hope you don't mind but I am absolutely going to make one.

rock on! if you need any more info, don't hesitate to pm me. a few things -
  • i twisted the chenille stems together (for both the wings and tentacles), then bent over the first 1/2" or so, to make the end blunt.
  • for the tenticles, i sewed the fabric around the chenille stems as i went, instead of making a casing, then inserting the chenille stems.
  • the chenille stems were a little longer than the tenticles. i bent this extra over to make a loop, and sewed the loop to the face before sewing the fabric down. i also anchored a ~2" piece of the chenille stems for the wings to the back before sewing the fabric down.

Sock cthulhu rocks my world.  Are you going to make other sock monsters?

i haven't been inspired yet to make other sock monsters. though it could very well happen. Smiley

Jeezy Creezy I LOVE him  Shocked

Best. Sock Critter. EVER.

I'm totally in awe of this, my sewing skills leave much to be desired but I soooo wish I could create something like this!

Congrats on your 'Rocking' status, it is very well deserved  Cheesy
