Mug Rug Swap (SignUp CLOSED, SendOut Feb 22 2011)

I was hoping that today (SNOW DAY!!) would give me a chance to try out a practice mug rug, but I've been busy finishing up some baby gifts.  Hopefully tomorrow!

In the meantime I've been getting great ideas from the folks posting here--thanks for the inspiration!

I've basically worked out what i'm doing, and i've got all the necessery fabrics for LostInOz's mug rug, but i need small amounts of fabric i hae run out of for h-chan's luckily, payday is tomorrow and it's also my day off, so i might just have to take a trip out to my nearest city and raid the fabric shops there (that's the only bad thing about living in a small town, i have a craft/sewing shop but it doesn't do fabric :S)

Also, I had a swapper ask if sending a recipe with her mug rug would be considered an extra and break our swap rules. Nope, sending a recipe would be just fine! 

I thought I'd share that in case anyone else would like to pass along a special recipe with their special rug .

A sender already?!  Awesome!!  I'm here, will probably see them up in the 2 weeks before sendouts...have ideas, just a wacko work schedule . 

Which is also why I'm craftster-ing via cellphome...gotta love it

I have stalked a little for RuuSuu and Fontiua and have some good ideas but probably won't even draft a design until sometime next week...... Need to stalk a wee bit more.

Wow. You don't check on this thread for a couple days and it explodes with responses. I've been bouncing ideas around in my head ever since we got partners. I think I know what I'm going to do but I need to go through my fabric stash first, which is a little difficult since I'm also doing a major overhaul cleaning of my apartment. I'm going to do one or two practice rugs before I make the one for my partner so I can 1)decide on how big I want the mug rug to be and 2)so I'll have an excuse to post pics in this thread.

Finally got my crafting area reorganized! Now I have the fabrics all picked out, so I am going to get to work this weekend.

I got my sewing room organized the other day so am really excited to pick out the fabrics for my partners! mmmm fabric!

Wow - there is some excessive craft room organizing going on in this thread!  Is it spring cleaning time already?  I would be smart to get in on that but...I think I'll wait until it is actually spring...of 2015 or so. 

So I'm wondering if you are planning to send them as they are made or will you send at the same time?
