I recieved 30 purple inchies from Coconutbells today! (I sent her an assortment of mini packages and mini items in return, but she hasn't recieved that yet)

Here are all the inchies and the extra crochet flower that I recieved  Smiley:

And here are my favourite 12:

(Sorry, the bad light makes some of the inchies really glossy)
Thank you coconutbells.

I have a couple more inchie packages on their way to me and then I think I might have enough to finish my purple frame!

I received the most amazing Creation from Wulf this week.  We decided to do a personal swap and he absolutely nailed it!  The attention to detail, composition and overall design couldn't be more perfect.
The only perameters were keep it about 6" x 6" and more art than craft.  I had no idea what I was getting nor did he.
The best part of this type of swap is the sneaky detective work one gets to do to discover what their partner would like.

These cubicles are approx 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" each and are completely covered in old newpaper/magazine articles and embellished with stamps, paint, papers and ephamera. There are 12 cubicles total and I highlighted a couple of groups of 4.

Not olnly did I recieve this amazing treasure box but Wulf designed a beautiful card, with a hand painted image on the front and gave me an incredible book of needlework dated 1972. Holy cow!

This shows a better detail of all the cubicles.

The Scarab with old nail, cloth and a man's peircing stare is one of my favorites. Note the old key, small bottle with blue crystals above that and to the upper left there is a postage stamp with the sphinx.

I love that he incorporated a tiny wasp's nest along with shells and lace.  It is hard to pick a favorite.

Thank you Wulf!

I took a lot more pictures including the secret compartment but I didn't want to make this too picture heavy. I am so pleased with this creation I added them to my blog.

KriSmith and I got a head start on the puzzle piece swap by trading pieces.

She sent me these for my fruit theme:

Oops! I totally forgot until I saw your post,  fibreartist4life, that we'd said "maximum 6 inches square"! I hope you hadn't set aside a precisely-sized patch of wall space for it!

I have to say that the lovely Steampunk silhouette notepaper came from Ralph in a swap last year. I've been hoarding it for special communications.

I had so much fun doing this, both assembling the box (it's made of parts from two or three craft-store units) and arranging the contents. I'm so pleased that it arrived apparently intact. Let's hear it for heavy gel medium as adhesive!

The embroidery book was published in the 70's (as the cover clearly shows!) but it's a facsimile of a late 19th c. book. Lovely stuff in it.

I did a private inchie swap with nilmerg, and they made it here so fast, I wasn't even expecting them for another few weeks.  What a nice surprise!

Grr!  Don't know how this picture got flipped... I love the 'ugly' frog... so cute!   Cheesy

No one has ever done some mermaid inchies for me, I love these!  And the cute monsters,... the siamese twin monsters are fab!  Thanks nilmerg, I so enjoyed swapping with you.  Hope my inchies make it there... tomorrow!

I received a great locker hooked turtle rug from rottenlittleboys!

She used different colors of felt fabric strips to weave the this rug.  It has a nice plush feel to it.  Its about a foot wide at the moment.  She left the edges unfinished so that my mom and I can add to it to make it larger to put on the floor of our yurt we use for camping.  Our goal is to finish the round rug at a 12ft diameter!  We have a lot of work before us.  But, the turtle will be an adorable centerpiece.  Smiley

Thank you so much for swapping, rottenlittleboys!
