I was on Etsy wishing away I had all the amazing things on there, but I cam across a chunky cable purse that was knitted, it was beautiful! So I wanted to try to convert what I saw into crochet!

The cable goes all the way around the purse and comes up the back to form the clasp in the front.

and at last the inside....

I attempted to do this all in tunisian, but I just could not manage to get the cables down with it. More practice for me!

Hope you enjoy!

C&C welcome.

thanks dip!

it took about 4 days, I started with the strap and made it and connected it then made the front part and then the back part with the overhang where the clasp is...honestly making the lining for it took the longest!

I bought Tunisian crochet hooks because of this purse. Sorry you didn't win. I voted for you! Can you share the source of your pattern?

I actually made the pattern myself, and there isn't any tunsian in this pattern...couldn't get the cable to sit right with it. I will work up a pattern this week and post for everyone...it was seriously simple!
