I want to put that warning on there and tag the image because I know how sensitive this subject can be for a lot of people, men and women.

I will tell you how I made it but for the why, I'll refer you to the blog post if you are curious.

The photograph was taken by my husband and I digitally manipulated it to look grainy as well as removed the color.  I then printed it out on fabric and transferred an outline of the female body onto it.  I also free-hand stitched the uterus and blood.  It's a juxtaposition of a happy, positive pregnancy result and the eventual outcome of the pregnancy.  It's the happy pee stick and the stark, cold reality of what happens to a lot of pregnancies.  It's helped in some ways to deal with it.  Not completely but I'll get there.

For more of the back story you can visit my blog if you so choose: http://ndbexcreations.net/2010/12/02/art-therapy/

For such a sad subject, it's a beautiful piece. You did a great job on it, and I hope that it has helped you and that you continue to heal.

I know I gushed over how much I love & appreciate & can sadly relate to this on flickr....but I think it's worth saying again.

I'm sorry for your loss. BUT this is a great art piece to show how you feel, its better to put it out on something than keeping it to yourself. I have bipolar myself, I decided to work on a scrap journal to pour out my feelings than holding it in. Love it!  Smiley

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.
