I knit a hat, sewed a hat, and crocheted a hat for my daughter for christmas. I'm most proud of the crocheted one, if only because it was so much fun!

Please! Please tell me how you made this. I have been looking for a crochet pattern like this for a few months now and have not been able to find one. I want a long tail like this for an adult.

You are amazing. I must admit, I'm not a fan of pink but with the other colours it seems to work. Bravo!

Eheh. My sister and I both had a hat like that when we were younger... So fun!

Nice work you've done there!

thanks! and I thought the colors were horribly ugly - but she liked them, so all good. I'll find the pattern, but I know I modified it to put more rows in to make it longer

http://community.livejournal.com/crochetcrochet/928922.html

this is not the pattern i used, but i can't FIND the pattern i used. This will do okay, I think - I used a regular length pattern like this, and extended it, doing four or five 'straight' rows for every decrease (or increase if you use this pattern). I also did not do a spiral, I did row by row .... but I made very sure that the brim was the size I wanted. I'll keep searching to see if I can find the original, but no promises. Sad
