Diesels_Mom, I'm wondering where you got that stamp carving kit? Because I've looked and people either don't know what I'm talking about or they point me to the wood carving kits. 

I got it at Dick Blick, the carving blocks are around 2 bucks and the tool is like 6.00

This is the reverse side of the Ramona tile, it's a scrabble tile!

I have a book on making aprons, and it suggest using old embroidery pieces as accents on aprons. I never thought to uses them for needle books. What an wonderful idea as most vintage pieces are the perfect size for needle books!  Thanks again Maria

ok, so midnight has received her parcel from me, and i'm sure she's going to post pics, but i am too excited, and i'm jumping the gun...

i hand-pieced the whole thing, including some hand embroidered hexxies with teacup, teapot, and cupcakes.








the interior had several 'pages' of felt for needles, secured with buttons. there was also a little pocket.


midnight and i have very similar taste, so it was fun to put some extras together. i basically thought about what i would like, and went with that! XD
i also included a pair of my handmade felt hairclips.
