Diesels_Mom, I'm wondering where you got that stamp carving kit? Because I've looked and people either don't know what I'm talking about or they point me to the wood carving kits.  Undecided

I got it at Dick Blick, the carving blocks are around 2 bucks and the tool is like 6.00

This swap is looking great!
I received from Craftsunderground today. I love, love, love it!

It's made from a vintage dresser scarf!

Here's the book open:

And the inside:

look at how well she lined up the embroidery design

last page

And the extras

Antique lace, an anchor button, and look at the Ramona tile!

This is the reverse side of the Ramona tile, it's a scrabble tile!

I have a book on making aprons, and it suggest using old embroidery pieces as accents on aprons. I never thought to uses them for needle books. What an wonderful idea as most vintage pieces are the perfect size for needle books!  Thanks again Maria Kiss

So I got my needle book from Lady Sadie yesterday. She included some yummy chocolate kisses too but I ate them all. Wink

She made me a Wonder Woman book! Cheesy

The inside. Wondy and Steve Rogers. Cheesy

Thanks Lady Sadie, you did an awesome job with one of my favorite characters. Cheesy

Another amazing idea!  Comic book needle case is epic, and then the epicness is squared with it being W.W.!  Love it Grin

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

Look at that comic book needle book! I love it. Are the inside drawings drawn with pen or embroidered?

ok, so midnight has received her parcel from me, and i'm sure she's going to post pics, but i am too excited, and i'm jumping the gun...

i hand-pieced the whole thing, including some hand embroidered hexxies with teacup, teapot, and cupcakes.

the interior had several 'pages' of felt for needles, secured with buttons. there was also a little pocket.

midnight and i have very similar taste, so it was fun to put some extras together. i basically thought about what i would like, and went with that! XD
i also included a pair of my handmade felt hairclips.
