I never would have thought to put a pocket in a needle book, but how handy!  Love the idea Grin

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

Okay, group shot

Roll call: a bunch of very awesome embroidery floss, purple felt, the most adorable owl! (he's going to go up in my son's new room Cheesy), mini m&ms (hell yes!), sweethearts candies!, rainbow coloured brads, pattern for a play tent (thank you heaps for that one!), stickers!, foam squares and needle and thread bandaids (how awesome!) as well as...

Needlebook!

the gorgeous tin

It's so beautiful, so perfect and so well made! You're an entirely fabulous stalker meowari cause this package is so me!

This is my first swap (thank you for making it so awesome!) and I wasn't prepared for the huge dose of warm and fuzzies you feel! It's brilliant  Grin

i received a beautiful package from midnight this afternoon!

inside was a gorgeous needle book, with ribbons and lace on the outside...

... and divine buttery-yellow felt inside.

she also included a matching wrist pincushion which is just so sweet.

here it is in action!

and as if that weren't enough, a charm necklace, with a teacup and teapot!

she wrote a lovely card (from the same range as the one i sent her, which is a funny coincidence!), and included some sweet treats.

all in all, i have to say that this parcel is one of the nicest things that has ever turned up in my letter box. thank you, midnight, you have been a lovely swap partner. i hope you love your package as much as i love mine!

Bet even fewer people would have thought to make a monster needle book though - which was a great idea BTW. Smiley

I'm glad you got it in one piece and I'm really happy that you like it!!!
I was originally going to make the needlebook out of the Altoid tin, but it didn't work out, so I just wound up sticking it in there for you to use on another project. I made it in the shape of one, but there's a split in the bottom so you can peel the sides back to get to the needles easier. I'll try to post a picture so you know what I'm talking about...

I got my package from Diesels_Mom today! Lovely little needlebook, and we agreed to swap extra supplies too. I got a little rainbow of zippers, playing cards, stamp carving kit (awesome!) and some hand-carved stamps. Very cool, and brightened up my day!

Close ups of the sweet little book:

Thank you very much Diesels_Mom! And since her camera met with a dog-related death, here's the needlebook I sent to her (didn't get a shot of the extras), it's all cotton fabric so I hope it holds up well! I went with a mildly western theme for the patterns.

I love this needle book. The lace... the colors... it's so sweet.  Grin

Diesels_Mom, I'm wondering where you got that stamp carving kit? Because I've looked and people either don't know what I'm talking about or they point me to the wood carving kits.  Undecided

And thanks for the comment suereal, I loved your monster needle book.  Wink
