Finally! I've been catching rides to work all week because of the snow (no 4WD on my car) and couldn't go anywhere on my lunch breaks, so I've had to wait until today to mail out. The sidewalks are cleared, it's a balmy 29 F out, and I'm going to walk down to the Post Office after breakfast to mail my package out! Yay!

Thank you. I kind of wanted to keep them when I was done. They're so stinking cute. The blue bird is my favorite. Cheesy

Have a safe walk, watch out for ice. Cheesy

Everything looks so good! I started mine on Sunday, but made the mistake of bringing it to work on during a Big Game for the Patriots in a house full of fanatics. Needless to say, I didn't get far on it. Tongue I have the weekend off, so I plan to finish it then & send it out early next week!

I just noticed we are neighbors... well distant neighbors... I am over in Rhode Island! :-)
I've only been taking quick glances at the gallery lately because my first two tries were complete disasters, and I started getting intimidated by all of the great stuff on here. I just got home from mailing out, and feel okay about what I sent (still not how I planned it, but it's definitely usable), I started reading through it for real this time. It's funny, I just saw your comment about the weather & checked out your profile to see where you were and I thought, "Neat, we're neighbours!"

**Okay, I just finished looking at everything on here, and I just wanted to say that I am now going to get serious about practicing my embroidery and just all-around handstitching. The wonky stitches I've been doing since I was a kid are nothing compared to the beautiful and creative projects I've seen in this gallery! Great work, everyone!

My partner received her package awhile back but I have not had any communication with her since she pmed that she had received.  I hope all is well with snapsanddrangons and decided to go ahead and post pictures.

This was a needlebook she had on her wist so I attempted to make one similar.
The acorn is a pincushion.  I have never needle felted but was please with the acorn.  I also do not crochet but managed to make its cap in my on wonky way.

The acorn pins I made from clay.

I made this fabric mug organizer from some of her favorite colors, then filled it with sewing supplies, buttons, zippers, seam ripper, thread  and the like.

As an extra, I included a pair of embroidery scissors.  The fob I made using some jewelry supplies so it would match the needle book.

The item that I had found at goodwill which I sent along was a panda bear cross stitch. I had picked this up a while back knowing I could find the perfect home and since she calls her daughter her little panda I knew this is where it needed to be. A great plus that she is using pandas in her daughters bedroom.

Hoping she liked everything!
